 CTET December 2022



The 16th iteration of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be held, according to the Central Board of Secondary Education in India. The CTET December 2022 will be held this year between December 2022 and January 2023 (the precise date will be disclosed on the candidate's Admit card). As a result, applicants who are eligible and keen to work as teachers can submit their online CTET applications on the official CBSE website.

Age Limit: Candidates who are above 18 years of age will be able to submit their online applications for CTET.

Required Qualifications of CTET 2022

Candidates must fill the certain educational requirements in order to participate in the December 2022 Central Teacher Eligibility Test. For the CTET, several levels of education are needed at the primary and secondary levels. Details on educational requirements are provided below, broken down by level.

Primary Level (Class I to V)

In order to appear in the primary level CTET exam, candidates need to fulfil any one of the following qualifications.

  • Passed or scheduled to take the last year of the 2-year Elementary Education Diploma with a minimum of 50% of the possible points in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) (by whatever name known)
OR

  • According to the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

  • Passing the final year of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education programme with at least a 50% grade point average or its equivalent (B.EI.Ed).

OR

  • Passed or scheduled to take the last year of the two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) with at least a 50% grade point average in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
OR
  • "Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree with at least 50% of the coursework completed"
  • "(a) shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person thus appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily attend a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education accredited by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher."
Secondary Level (Class VI to VIII)

In order to appear in the secondary level CTET exam, candidates need to fulfil any one of the following qualifications.

  • graduation, passing the last year of the 2-year Elementary Education Diploma programme, or appearing in it (by whatever name known).
  • passing or enrolling in a one-year Bachelor of Education programme after graduating with at least 50% of the required grades (B.Ed).
  • graduation with a minimum GPA of 45% and successful completion of or enrollment in a 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme, as per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations that are periodically released in this regard.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of the required marks, passed or scheduled to appear in the last year of a four-year elementary education degree programme (B.EI.Ed).
  • Passed or scheduled to take the final year of a four-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed programme with at least a 50% grade point average (or its equivalent).
  • a degree with at least a 50% average and passing or enrolling in a one-year B.Ed. Specialized instruction
  • Any candidate who has earned a B.Ed. Programs approved by the NCTE may participate in TET/CTET. A person who is enrolled in any of the teacher education programmes listed in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 and recognised by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be, is also eligible to take the TET/CTET, according to the current TET guidelines distributed by NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011.

How to Apply for CTET Examination ?

Candidates who are interested and qualified may apply online for CTET December 2022 by going to the CBSE CTET official website and following the instructions there.

  • Scroll down, check Important Link‘s section.
  • Click on Online Application Link.
  • Now, an official web portal will load in the new tab of your browser.
  • In that portal, you will get the option to register yourself.
  • After registration, you have to provide all your asked details.
  • After that you have to upload your documents.
  • Now, you have to pay the examination fee.
  • After successful payment, your application will be submitted.
  • Also, you will receive an acknowledgment copy of your submission.
  • Keep that acknowledgment copy for future use.
