SAMARTH Admission Portal
A brand-new website called SAMARTH has been created by the Directorate of Higher Education in Assam. The Assam Education Minister presented the SAMARTH Admission Portal on June 14, 2023. Students in Assam may apply online for admission to undergraduate programmes through the SAMARTH Admission Portal. Students can submit admissions applications on this website for programmes like BA, BCom, BSc, etc. The Government of Assam previously launched the DARPAN site for higher secondary first year admission, which was a similar project.

The SAMARTH online admissions site was created by the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam. Applications for admission to different Assam colleges and universities for various undergraduate courses will be accepted through the SAMARTH Online Admission Portal. Students would no longer have to struggle with filling out separate applications for several colleges. Students will have the ability to submit applications for admission to up to 10 institutes using the platform. Allowing each student to enrol at just one institute will also address the issue of overlap. Similar to that, this platform will assist organisations and governments in putting various welfare programmes into effect quickly.
Assam Admission Fee Waiver Scheme
Students should be aware that only those who enrol through the SAMARTH Admission Portal will be eligible for the well-known fee waiver programme offered by the Government of Assam. According to the official statement, SAMARTH will be connected to the Assam government's fee waiver programme. In light of this, only students who apply using the SAMARTH platform will be eligible for fee waivers for all worthy students. How to Apply for Assam College Admission?
Using the SAMARTH Online Admission Portal, students who have passed their HS final exam or an equivalent exam are eligible to apply for admission to Assam's colleges and universities. It should be noted that while admission applications will be accepted through the SAMARTH Portal, the actual admission process will take place offline at the campus. Students must submit their online applications using the SAMARTH portal, and once the merit lists are published, they must visit their chosen institutions to complete the admissions process. - In that portal, you will get the option to register yourself.
- After registration, you have to provide all your asked details.
- After that, you have to upload your documents.
- After successful completion of the above steps, your application will be submitted.
- Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission.
- Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use.
