•  Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer)

         No of posts: 11 (ST)

         Pay Scale: Level-5 (Rs. 29200-92300/-) in pay matrix.

• Head Constable (Ministerial)

         No of posts: 312 [UR: 154, EWS: 41, OBC: 65, SC: 38 & ST: 14]

         Pay Scale: Level-4 (Rs. 25500-81100/-) in pay matrix. 

Eligibility Criteria of BSF Recruitment

Citizenship:. The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

 Age Limit: 0 to 64 years old.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 to 25 years as at the time of submission.

Generally speaking, the upper age limit is set by Norms.

Educational Qualifications:. Applicants Must have passed the minimum requirements of the Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board, University, or equivalent.

Skill: 

ASI (Stenographer):. Shorthand @ 80 words per minute in English OR in Hindi in ten minutes. Transcription of dictation on computer in English in 50 minutes OR in Hindi in 65 minutes.

Head Constable (Min): 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. (35 w.p.m in English and 30 w.p.m in Hindi correspond to 10500 KDPH in English and 9000 KDPH in Hindi respectively with an average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer).
